(PN) Oil States Brasil is celebrating the achievement of a new and unprecedented contract. The company announced this week that it has signed an agreement with Subsea7 to supply rigid jumpers for the third production system in the Mero field, in the Santos Basin. The contract is a major milestone for the company, as it is the first of its kind to be manufactured by Oil States in Brazil.
As a reminder, the Mero field is operated by Petrobras, in partnership with Shell, TotalEnergies, CNPC and CNOOC, with contract management from PPSA. Subsea7 was hired by the consortium to provide subsea equipment and services for the development of Mero 3.
The Oil States contract comprises rigid jumpers, test skids and spreader bars. The equipment will be manufactured at the Oil States Base in Macaé and Integration, FAT and Load Out will be carried out at Porto do Açu. A team of around 40 professionals will be involved from planning, through execution to deliveries, scheduled to be completed in 2024.
