(PN) The market is eagerly awaiting the outcome of the Petrobras tender, which provides for the contracting of up to eight drilling rigs. The opening of the envelopes with the proposals is scheduled for June 28, after two postponements. In all, ten companies are pre-qualified to participate in the competition: Ocyan, Ventura, Constellation, Stena, Seadrill, Transocean, Ensco, Etesco, NE Drilling and Brasdril. The public notice is divided into three lots, with contract execution periods varying between 1,095 and 1,460 days.
In the first lot, Petrobras intends to hire up to two high-specification dynamic positioning rigs capable of operating in water depths of up to 3,000 meters. In the second lot, the oil company foresees five more rigs with dynamic positioning and high specification, with the capacity to operate in water depths of up to 2,400 meters. In the last lot, Petrobras intends to hire a dynamic positioning probe capable of operating in water depths of up to 2,400 meters.
The expected date for the start of the services of the rigs varies. In the case of lot 3, the vessels must be ready for operation between December of this year and September of 2023, with a mobilization period of 180 days. As for lots 1 and 2, the desired time window for the start of activities is between January and November 2023, with the mobilization period of 270 days.
