(PetroleoHoje) The dispute over the SURF service contract for the final Atlanta project is expected to be between Sapura and McDermott. The information was confirmed by sources at PetróleoHoje, anticipating that the contracting process will be defined by the end of March.
In addition to Sapura and McDermott, TechnipFMC was also classified by the oil company, but it would be at a disadvantage. Enauta brought together, in the same package, the contracting of the installation vessel, the supply of lines, umbilicals, risers and launch flowlines.
The winner of the tender will also be responsible for removing the Atlanta Early Production System (EPS) lines and installing them together with the final project. The SURF campaign will include eight wells, six in the first phase (three new and three relocated from the EPS) and two new in the second stage.
The installation operation will start in 2024. The manufacturing activity of the lines will start in 2022.
Designed to produce 50,000 bpd, the definitive Atlanta system will start operating in July 2024. The project will be connected to the FPSO OSX-2, which will be adapted by Yison and installed north of the SPA.
The EPS is in operation through FPSO Petrojarl I. The two units will operate together until the demobilization of the EPS, scheduled for 2025.
In addition to the SURF contract, Enauta recently closed a deal with Constellation for the charter of the Alpha Star rig, with OneSubsea for the supply of two more ANMs, and with Baker for the drilling service.
