Strengthened by the recent bills approved by the government, the Permanent Offer of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) will have its next auction on April 13, 2022, consequence of declaration of interest submitted by a company already registered in this auction modality. Thus, the 3rd Cycle of Permanent Offer begins, which will be carried out with areas under the concession regime.
The sectors offered in this cycle will be announced until February 16th. The other companies registered will have until February 3rd to submit a declaration of sectors of interest, accompanied by offer guarantees. Companies that are not yet registered and wish to participate in the auction will be able to apply until December 27th. Today, there are already 69 oil companies approved under the Permanent Offer.
As the name suggests, this type of auction consists of the continuous offer of exploratory blocks and areas with marginal accumulations located in any land or maritime basins returned or in the process of being returned to the ANP. Recently, the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) authorized the agency to include blocks located on the Brazilian continental shelf, in addition to the 200 nautical miles, in the modality. In addition, the blocks that would be offered in the 18th Bidding Round, in 2022, were transferred to the Permanent Offer. The council also approved the technical and economic parameters for bidding on 11 pre-salt blocks under the production sharing regime under the Permanent Offer model.
