THE FIRST COMPANIES APPROVED FOR THE AUCTION OF SURPLUS VOLUMES OF SEPIA AND ATAPU ON DECEMBER 17

The list of the first companies that were approved for the second auction of surpluses from the Transfer of Rights, scheduled for December 17th, was released. The Special Bidding Commission of the National Petroleum Agency (CEL/ANP) gave the approval to eight companies during a meeting held this week. According to the regulatory body, the list may increase, as other applications for registration will be evaluated at the next CEL meetings.

The first eight companies approved for bidding are: Chevron Brasil Óleo e Gás Ltda.; Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil Ltda.; Enauta Energia S.A.; Equinor Brasil Energia Ltd.; Exxonmobil Exploration Brasil Ltda.; Petrogal Brasil S.A.; Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda.; and Totalenergies E&P Brasil Ltda.

“The registered companies met all the requirements set out in the notice and are able to participate in the round. Qualification is mandatory and individual for each interested party, even for those who intend to present an offer through a consortium. Once the requirements established in the notice have been complied with, and the qualification having been judged and approved by the Special Tender Committee, companies may submit bids for the areas, in accordance with the rules of the round”, detailed the ANP.
