OneSubsea, a Schlumberger company based in Houston, Texas, United States, has signed a contract with Petrobras for subsea services in fields off the coast of Brazil, including inspection, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and parts supply, as well as installation services and commissioning. The contract is worth over US$200 million. The agreement includes a market differential by supporting the scope of subsea processing through real-time monitoring capabilities of the processing systems operated by Petrobras. For Carlos Tadeu, General Director of OneSubsea in Brazil, the contract reinforces the long-term partnership between OneSubsea and Petrobras in Brazil. “We are committed to delivering the highest level of performance through this execution, supporting Petrobras in meeting its goals in a safe and sustainable environment, maximizing local content and utilizing our broadest portfolio in subsea space,” said the executive .
The contract will be executed from the OneSubsea Subsea Services Center of Excellence, located in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro. Operational fronts are expected to be made available, consisting of onshore and offshore tools and technical assistance services for the installation, commissioning and workover (interventions in wells) of equipment and maintenance of subsea equipment. It also encompasses Upgrade Engineering services, Subsea Control Systems, one 1Monitoring (FRIEND). The partnership is valid for three years, with an option to extend it for another two years.
Petrobras has a large portfolio of oil and gas fields operated in Brazil, including deepwater and pre-salt. OneSubsea has experience in subsea system installation in Brazil, operating more than 500 ANMs (Christmas trees) in the country in the last 20 years. The company is a supplier to the subsea oil and gas market and operates in more than 23 countries.
