(PetroNoticias) The Brazilian Environment Institute (Ibama) granted the installation license for the FPSO Sepetiba, the second platform vessel to be installed in the Mero field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt. The document will be valid until May 2025 and also covers the collection and disposal system associated with the vessel.
The Sepetiba FPSO should start production in April 2023 and will be connected to 16 wells (8 producers and 8 injectors). The platform vessel will be anchored in a water depth of 2,050 meters, with a maximum processing capacity of 180,000 barrels per day of oil and 12 million cubic meters per day of gas.
As a reminder, the Dutch SBM Offshore is responsible for the works of the FPSO. The hull of the ship is being built in China, where part of the topside is also being developed. Some platform modules are under construction in Brazil, at the EBR shipyard, in Rio Grande do Sul.
