PPSA will participate in the 2nd Round of Surplus of Transfer of Rights

The ANP Board approved yesterday the participations agreed between Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA) and Petrobras, on the volumes exceeding those contracted for Transfer of Rights in the areas of Atapu and Sépia, according to MME Ordinance No. 23 / 2020.

MME Ordinance No. 23, dated 01/27/2020, qualified PPSA as a representative of the Federal Government to evaluate the volumes surplus to those contracted for Transfer of Rights in the areas of Atapu and Sépia and to negotiate with Petrobras on this evaluation and on the calculation Compensation for Bidding for Excess Volumes. According to art. 4 of Ordinance 23/2020, the parties (PPSA and Petrobras) should reach an agreement regarding the participation of the Union and the transferee in the areas of Atapu and Sépia and submit them to the evaluation and approval of the ANP, which may request changes or additional information.

The participations approved by the ANP may be used as technical parameters of the 2nd Bidding Round of Production Sharing of the Surplus of Transfer of Rights of the Atapu and Sépia Deposits.

PPSA forwarded to the ANP, for evaluation, together with the technical reports, the participation agreed by the negotiation between PPSA and Petrobras. Thus, in the ANP’s evaluation, the action plan previously approved by the Agency’s Collegiate Board of Directors was followed, analyzing the technical content presented, the consistency of the data used, the workflow performed, the premises of the proposed global development strategy deposits, the flow simulation models used and the main results obtained by the parties.

It should be noted that all technical analyzes that supported the ANP’s decision will be forwarded to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, as determined by MME Ordinance No. 23/2020.
