In view of the pandemic situation in the country, the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP) had no other alternative and postponed the Rio Oil & Gas 2020 fair, which was scheduled for September this year.
The event has not yet been definitively canceled, as it happened with OTC Houston 2020 or other events of the kind. The Rio Oil & Gas organization announced that it is studying a new date, considering projections and curves of the pandemic in Brazil.
“We inform that all investment by exhibiting and sponsoring companies is preserved, and the service to exhibitors and our sales executives is an always open channel for any clarification or support that may be necessary,” said the IBP, in a statement.
In its last edition, Rio Oil & Gas gathered more than 42 thousand people. For 2020, more than 200 exhibitors were expected, in addition to debates, presentations and technical sessions. “We continue to monitor the situation of the coronavirus in Brazil and in the world, outlining different scenarios so that we have safe conditions to organize Rio Oil & Gas, with all the reach and relevance that the event has always presented,” stated the event’s organizing committee.
