Campo Sul do Gato do Mato, in the Santos Basin pre-salt has new composition

The board of the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) approved the sale of 30% of the Sul do Gato do Mato field (Production Sharing Contract), in the Santos Basin pre-salt, to Ecopetrol. With the new distribution in this block, Shell now holds a 50% interest in the project (previously its participation was 80%), Ecopetrol 30% and Total 20%.

Sul do Gato do Mato is a continuation to the south of block BM-S-54, where the discovery of Gato do Mato is located, in the Santos Basin. Production is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2023.
