Petrobras plans to invest US $ 9 billion in exploration and production in 2020, said the company’s production and technology development director, Rudimar Lorenzatto. According to him, of this total, half will be allocated to new projects, including Sépia, Mero, Búzios 5 and Atapu.
Petrobras, as a whole, plans to invest US $ 12 billion in 2020.
In a conference call this Thursday on the results of the fourth quarter of 2019, released the day before, the director of exploration and production at Petrobras, Carlos Alberto Pereira de Oliveira, reaffirmed that the goal of oil and gas production for 2020 is 2.7 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, with a variation of 2.5% more or less.
According to Oliveira, in the first half of this year, more production stops are planned for platforms compared to the second half of the year. In general, he explained, two thirds of the stops are concentrated in the first half, one third in the final six months.
