Petrobrás notified the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) of a discovery of oil evidence in the Marlim Leste field, in the Campos Basin, at a water depth of 1,226 meters in the well 9-MLL-83-RJS .
The Marlim Leste field adopts two production development modules: the P-53, a FPU (Floating Production Unit) type platform; and the FPSO Cidade de Niterói. The asset is about 107 km from Cape Sao Tome (RJ), in water depth ranging from 780 to 2,000 meters.
Last week, Petrobras had already made its first notification of oil evidence in block S-M-623, where the Sagitario prospect is located. The discovery took place at well 3-BRSA-1370-SPS, on a 1,841 meter water depth, which is being drilled with the ODN I rig.
