Mexican industrial group Carso, owned by the billionaire Carlos Slim, has said it has been awarded a contract to build two offshore platforms for the Mexican oil company Pemex.
The company said the contract for the engineering, procurement, and construction of two offshore platforms named MALOOB-E and MALOOB-I.
The platforms are destined to be deployed in the Campeche Bay offshore Mexico.
According to Carso, the value of the contract is 2,42 billion pesos (~126 million) plus 191,7 million in U.S. dollars. The work will be carried out by a consortium between According to Carso, the contract was awarded to a consortium between Carso Infraestructura y Construcción and Permaducto.
