Petrobras will soon contract a new 3D seismic campaign with nodes for the Santos Basin pre-salt cluster. After Libra and Buzios, the oil company will seek services to cover almost the entire field of Lula.
It is estimated that the tender will be released within 30 days. The details are still being discussed by the technical area.
The campaign will involve an area between 1,500 and 2,000 km². The submission of proposals and the start of the campaign will be scheduled for 2020.
This will be the second 3D campaign with nodes that Petrobras will do in the Lula field. In the past, the oil company hired Seabed Geolutions to pilot the region.
At the moment, the joint venture between Fugro and CGG is running a campaign in Búzios, covering 1,000 km² of geological area and 1,600 km² of area covered by nodes, with a firing range of 2,700 km².
Work began in the last quarter of 2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of October. The campaign is run with the SR / V Vantage seismic vessel and the Subsea Viking M / V node vessel.
In October, Fairfield finalized for Petrobras the acquisition of a 3D seismic record with nodes at the Mero field in Libra. Lasting over a year, the service involved covering an area of 1,190 km², with about 734 km² of nodes and a total of 490,000 shots.
