FPSO P-68 closer to starting operation

Petrobras is released by the ANP to begin the operation of the P-68 platform, which will produce in the Berbigão and Sururu fields, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. The agency’s board authorized the extraordinary gas burning, for 180 days, required to start the unit’s (commissioning) processing plant.

The company now awaits the issuance of an operating license already requested from Ibama on March 20.

The P-68 is the last production unit planned by Petrobras for this year. It is the third in the series of replicates (own units), with a daily processing capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil and 6 million cubic meters of natural gas.

The fields of Berbigão and Sururu, as well as Oeste de Atapu, were delimited in the old area of ​​Iara (block BM-S-11A). Petrobras operates with 42.5%, along with Shell (25%), Total (22.5%) and Petrogal (10%).
