Brazilian subsidiary of Norwegian offshore vessel provider DOF has received an extension for one of its anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels working in Brazil.
DOF said on Friday that its subsidiary – Norskan – had won a one-year extension for the Skandi Botafogo vessel from Brazilian oil major Petrobras.
According to the company, the extension for the Skandi Botafogo will be applicable from June 2019.
The initial contract for the vessel was awarded in April 2018. The one-year Petrobras contract started in early June of the same year.
Skandi Botafogo is an 80-meter-long, 18-meter-wide anchor handling tug supply vessel built in 2006 by Vard Niteroi. It is capable of accommodating 40 people.
