OOS Flotel arrives in Brazil

OOS Tiradentes (CR-600) will arrive in Brazil in the first week of May to operate for Petrobras. Coming from the Yantai shipyard in China, where it was built, the unit will start at the Albacora field, supporting the P-31 platform.

Tiradentes arrives in Brazil to replace the OOS Prometheus contract, which operated for Petrobras and left Brazil recently. Earlier this year, the oil company and the service provider agreed a contract addendum, agreeing to replace OOS Prometheus with Tiradente. In return for the more modern unit, the contractual period has been extended.

The start of the contract should occur between the end of May and the beginning of June. The flotel OOS Tiradentes has accommodation for 600 people.

With the start-up of Tiradentes, OOS will maintain two flotels operating for Petrobras, Greta is currently operating.
