Statoil receives offers for maritime support

Statoil postponed the delivery of proposals for the chartering of vessels to support mooring operations (AHTS).

With a duration of three years (plus two one-year renewal options), the contracts aim to attend activities in the Peregrino field, in the Campos Basin.

Companies will be able to bid for up to two boats.

Currently, the marine support in Peregrino, which is going through a second phase of development, is now supported by Tranship DOF, SolstadFarstad and Tide Water.

The field is operated by Statoil, with a 60% stake, in partnership with Sinochem (40%).

Petrobras

Meanwhile, Petrobras is negotiating the final terms of the contracts for chartering AHTSs for three or four years. CBO, Alfanave, Maersk and Bourbon were the best placed in the bid.

The company’s maritime support fleet is currently comprised of approximately 200 vessels, including  80 PSVs, 40 OSRVs and 30 AHTSs.

Conversion

Given the large proportion of PSVs contracted, some ship-owners have converted these vessels into RSVs and OSRVs.

The Wilson Sons Ultratug Group, for example, will convert PSV Gaivota at the Wilson Sons Shipyard, in Guarujá. The vessel was contracted in December by Petrobras for a period of two years.

Gaivota’s convertion will be one of 17 that the shipyard will do in 2018. Also to be tasted at the site are tugs from Saam Smit and the Capaulo Vitória Lift-1, from TechnipFMC, whose work began this week.
