Petrobras applies for gas outflow license

On 29 March, Petrobras applied to Ibama for the operation of the Lula Norte – Franco Noroeste gas pipeline for the production and disposal of natural gas from the Santos Basin pre-salt. The gas pipeline has the capacity to flow up to 17,800,000 m³ / day of gas.

The line runs between 2,190 m and 1,628 m between platforms P-67 (located in Campo Lula Norte, with production expected to start in the second half of 2018) and P-77 (located in Campo Buzios 4, which is expected to start production in 2019). As it is positioned in the deep sea stretch of Route 3 Gas Pipeline, Lula Norte has an interconnection with the Gas Pipeline Route 2 (in operation since February 2016).

The request was filed in March and the operating license is expected to be issued by September of this year. This stretch of pipeline will be interconnected to the existing gas network, associated with the projects licensed under the project Activity of Production and Flow of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Pre-Salt Pole of the Santos Basin – Stage 2.
