Petrobras requests Installation License for Tartaruga Verde FPSO

Petrobras filed at IBAMA on March 21 the application for the installation license of the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes, which will produce in Tartaruga Verde, in the Campos Basin.

The environmental agency has issued the installation license for the launch of the anchors and for the other actions necessary for the anchoring of the unit, but the installation of the FPSO itself and the associated subsea infrastructure depends on this new license. To start production, an operating license will still be required.

The expectation is that the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes will be operational in about 45 to 60 days after the start of the anchorage. The original forecast was for the unit to start operating in 2017, but the failure to release the license eventually put off the oil plan.

With the capacity to produce 150,000 barrels / day of oil and process 5 million m3 / day of gas, the unit can stock up to 1.6 million barrels. The Tartaruga Verde production development project will have 18 wells, of which 12 are production and six are injection.

In addition to the FPSO City of Campos dos Goytacazes, Petrobras has another seven platforms scheduled to go into production in 2018. All of them already have the environmental endorsement from Ibama for the installation phase.
