Spectrum has received authorization from IBAMA for a 2D seismic data survey in the Pernambuco-Paraíba Basin. The survey is non-exclusive and will be conducted by the BGP Challenger vessel.
The release from the environmental body is valid until the end of November. Today, the Pernambuco-Paraíba Basin has six blocks under concession, offered in the 9th and 11th Rounds. The areas are operated by Niko, Petrobras and QGEP, which have two blocks each. The first exploratory period of the R11 blocks has a deadline of September 2018.
Recently, Spectrum announced a 2D data survey in the Santos Basin, focusing on the 16th Round, scheduled for 2019.
