Chevron is expected to split the well services packages into the new Frade field development campaign between BHGE, Halliburton and Schlumberger, according to sources heard by Brasil Energia Petroleo.
The first two companies are expected to complete completion services, and Halliburton would be specifically responsible for lower completion and foundation services.
There are ongoing negotiations with the Edison Chouest group to install a mud plant at the base of its subsidiary B-Port in Port Açu, already used by Chevron to moor support vessels.
Schlumberger, in turn, is negotiating the drilling contract. Scheduled for 2019, the campaign should consist of the construction of six wells in the active Campos Basin.
In addition to this competition, Chevron is promoting bids to hire a vessel specialized in launching underwater lines (PLSV) and maintenance and modification services for FPSO Frade.
The report sought Chevron to comment on the matter, but did not get a return immediately after contact.
