ANP’s oil and gas auction raises $ 8 billion in bonuses and hits new record

 

Last record in the concession rounds had been $ 3.8 billion.

The National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency ( ANP ) has so far raised R $ 8 billion in bonds with the auction of 22 oil and gas exploration blocks on Monday (29), and hit a new record in the rounds concessions (see below for completed blocks) .

What was sold out

From the Santos Basin, three of the six blocks were bought in the only sector offered. The signing bonus raised with them was R $ 346.4 million – a premium of 235.91% in relation to the minimum bonus expected by the ANP.

From the Potiguar Basin, one of the five blocks of the AP1 sector was sold for R $ 5.1 million. According to the ANP, the value did not represent any goodwill on what was expected. The AP2 sector had the six blocks sold for a total bonus of R $ 133.7 million, with a goodwill of 80.98%.

From the Ceará Basin, only one of the seven blocks of the SCE-AP-2 sector was sold to the R $ 9 million bonus, with a 12.33% premium.

From the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, one of the three blocks of the SSEAL-AUP1 sector was sold for R $ 3.6 million, with a 39.73% premium. On the other hand, the SSEAL-AUP2 sector had one of the four blocks sold, also for the amount of R $ 3.6 million in signing bonus, representing the same goodwill percentage of 39.73%.

The highest premium was from the Campos Basin – 680.452% over the expected minimum. The nine blocks, all of the sector SC-AP5, were sold for a significant R $ 7.5 billion.
