DOF and Petrobras reached an agreement to extend the AHTS Skandi Admiral contract in approximately 265 days until February 28, 2019. The contract is scheduled to begin on June 9, 2018. The original document was signed with the DOF at the end of May 2017. The Skandi Admiral was built in 1999 and has been flying the Brazilian flag since last year.
Last month Petrobras signed with DOF Subsea two new ROVs to be installed at Skandi Angra and Skandi Paraty. The new contracts begin to apply in April 2018 and end in September and November 2020, respectively. In addition, Petrobras has extended two contracts for ROVs aboard Skandi Iguacu and Skandi Urca by the end of 2018.
According to Antaq data, DOF and its subsidiary Norskan, have 19 vessels in operation in Brazil.
