Chevron is seeking a PLSV to support development activities at the Frade field in the Campos Basin.
The scope of service provides for the transportation and installation of flowlines, pipeline end terminations, SDUs, umbilicals, umbilical termination assemblies, jumpers, and other optional equipment such as wet Christmas trees.
The phases of underwater installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning are initially scheduled to occur between September 2019 and the same month of 2020.
Today in Brazil, the main PLSV operators are DOF, McDermott, Ocyan (former OOG), Sapura, Subsea 7, TechnipFMC.
In 2017, the US oil company launched a tender to contract drilling and completion services in Frade. The bids were delivered at the end of the year but no contract has been signed so far.
Scheduled for 2019, the campaign will consist of the construction of six wells.
Chevron Brasil Upstream Frade, an affiliate of Chevron Corporation, operates and holds a 51.74% stake in this field in partnership with Petrobras (30%) and Frade Japan Petróleo Ltda. (18.26%).
