BRASCO SIGNS CONTRACT WITH TOTAL TO PROVIDE SUPPORT IN THE LAPA FIELD

Brasco, of the Wilson Sons Group, has signed a contract with Total E & P do Brasil and will provide logistical support to the production activity in the Lapa field, operated by the French company. “This agreement is another important milestone in our successful relationship with Total, with whom we have been working since 2013, when the contract for logistical support for Xerelete’s exploration campaign began,” said Brasco CEO Gilberto Cardarelli .

Oil production in Lapa began in December 2016, through the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba, with a capacity of 100,000 barrels per day. Total owns 35% of the field, along with Shell (30%), Repsol-Sinopec (25%) and Petrobras (10%).

Brasco has two own bases in the Bay of Guanabara – Brasco Niterói and Brasco Rio – totaling eight berths of linear mooring. The company also has expertise in remote operations, having set up temporary bases in several ports off the Brazilian coast.
