Petrobras has launched a tender to contract maintenance services for the P-66, P-67, P-68, P-69 and P-70 platforms in the Santos Basin pre-salt. The contracts will last from one year and a half to three years.
Among these units, only the P-66 is in operation in the Lula Sul field, while the others are scheduled to produce the first oil between this year and 2019.
Petrobras denied that the launch of the competition at this moment is a way to anticipate the new model of contracting, according to the State Law (13,303), which will become mandatory from June.
“Compliance with good maintenance practices since the beginning of operations is one of the operational requirements at E & P facilities, so there is no motivation as a result of legislation, but rather the fulfillment of operational demand,” the company said via press release.
The oil company added that the strategy adopted aims to provide gains in scale in contracting contemplating more than one platform, mainly by the similarity of the platforms in question.
In addition to this tender, which is under the responsibility of the Santos Basin Operational Unit (UO-BS), Petrobras will promote offshore maintenance tenders for UO-Rio and UO-BC platforms.
