Petrobras and Exxon, the main players in the 14th round of bids of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), signed on Monday (29) the contracts related to the blocks sold at the auction held in September last year. To remind you, the companies were a consortium to make the biggest bids of the event – R $ 2.2 billion for block C-M-346 and R $ 1.2 billion for block C-M-411
Other 12 companies also signed their contracts on Monday: Murphy Brazil, Queiroz Galvão, Imetame, Parnaíba Natural Gas, Petroil, Bertek, CNOOC, Repsol, Vipetro, Brazil Geopark, Karoon and Great Energy.
According to the ANP, Greenconsult, which bought the SEAL-T-430 block, was not qualified by the Special Bidding Commission (CEL) for non-compliance with the requirements set forth in the edits. The company filed an appeal and will present a new set of documents by the end of January 2018. In case it qualifies, the block will obey a different signature schedule of the other contracts.
Tek did not submit the documents for signing the concession contracts on the date requested in the bidding notice and requested that the deadline be reopened. The ANP decided to grant the bidder no later than February 23, 2018 to present the documents, pursuant to section 9 of the notice, and to determine the signing of the contracts for blocks REC-T-126 and REC-T-127 until April 30.
Another company that has not yet signed the contracts was Cranes Brazil Oil and Gas Ltda., Which purchased the REC-T-151 and SEAL-T-132 blocks. The company requested extension of deadline for delivery of the financial guarantee of the minimum exploratory program. The request will be analyzed by the Board of Directors of the ANP.
