OCEANEERING PLANS TO BRING NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE BRAZILIAN OIL AND GAS MARKET

Despite the crisis in the market, Oceaneering is betting on the resumption of the Brazilian oil and gas sector in the coming years, and today  is concentrating efforts in the tools, autonomous inspection and survey sectors. “Oceaneering is an engineering and solutions company. We are attentive to what is happening in the world market to bring to Brazil, “said the commercial director of the company in Brazil, Ricardo Frazão.

The executive also explains that the company is expanding its business in the country beyond the ROV and umbilical market. “Oceaneering will continue to invest in Brazil in technology and new products, bringing engineering here and believing in the potential of the Brazilian market,” he added.

Their focus has traditionally been the ROV and Umbilical market. But today they are also growing in the service sector, decommissioning and underwater inspection. These are technologies that they already have outside the country and are incorporating to their portfolio in Brazil.

The company is bringing some automated tools that are already operating under contract with Petrobrás, which is Neptune. They are also operating with new survey technologies using autonomous underwater vehicles that they have developed for the opportunities that have arisen in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea.  State-of-the-art technology in underwater inspection. Oceaneering is a leader in this market outside of Brazil, and  are focusing a lot on it: tools, inspection and the survey part as well.

The market today in Brazil is not going well says Frazao . But strongly believes that the latest auctions will boost business, especially with new players, with whom Oceaneering has traditionally worked overseas. They will certainly leverage a new business model in Brazil, where the differential will also be the technology available.

Oceaneering  will continue investing in technology. Oceaneering is an engineering and solutions company attentive to what is happening in the world market to bring to Brazil. Brazil on the tip, because of ultra-deep waters. Oceaneering will continue to invest in Brazil, in technology and in new products, offering all the potential and knowledge  in their 50 years of operation in the subsea market.
