Petrobras will launch bids for three new oil rig platforms in 2018. Petrobras president Pedro Parente reported that he has already begun the bidding process to contract a platform (FPSO) for the Búzios field in the pre -salt. In addition, two more bids will be made: one for the revitalization of the Marlim field in the Campos Basin and another for the Parque da Baleias in the Espírito Santo Basin.
Each platform is, according to market sources, estimated at about $ 1 billion. The investments planned for the coming year may increase. Petrobras announced that it reduced the investment projection by 6% to 2017. The number went from US $ 17 billion to US $ 16 billion.
– This reduction is a reflection of the postponement of new wells from 2017 to 2018. In addition, this reduction is a reflection of the optimization – said Solangue Guedes, director of Exploration and Production of the state.
Petrobras president Pedro Parente said that the new orders will reflect in the company’s Business Plan for the 2018/22 period. He recalled that the plan will not have very deep changes in relation to the investments and projects foreseen in the current plan of the period 2017/21. which foresees investments of US $ 74.1 billion in the period. According to Parente, the review of the plan will be made later this year.
– It is not a radical revision of the plan, it is punctual reviews precisely because we understand that the plan as elaborated is still quite adequate. We hope to make the announcement later this year, “said Parente.
