Petrobrás found evidence of offshore oil in the Espírito Santo Basin. This time, the state oil company notified the National Petroleum Agency about the presence of the input in the 4BRSA1352ESS well in the Golfinho field.
The discovery was made in a water depth of 1,448 meters, using the Gold Star drill ship. Drilling in the area began in August as part of the area’s exploratory and production assessment. The field is operated 100% by Petrobrás.
In early September, Petrobras completed a new well in the Libra field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt. The activity in well 3BRSA1345RJS was done by means of the West Tellus (Seadrill) drill ship in water depth of 2,087 meters. The drilling began in the area in mid-February. The state company also notified the National Petroleum Agency of the finding of hydrocarbons in another Libra well, the 3BRSA1350RJS. Petrobrás found oil in a water depth of 2,098 meters.
