The Special Bidding Committee (CEL) approved the addition of seven other companies in the 14th Round of Bids. Of these, four are of foreign origin – Capricorn Brazil Petroleum and Gas (India), Gran Tierra Energy Brasil Ltda. (Canada), Rosneft Brazil E & P Ltda. (Russia) and Tek Oil and Gas Ltda. (China) – and three Brazilian ones. Two still do not have a contract for exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Brazil: Bertek and Capricorn. Considering the 21 approved at the meetings of the Commission held on 09 and 16/8, the total registered so far is 28 companies.
At the next and last meeting of the Commission, on 25 August, other applications for registration will be evaluated. In all, 36 companies completed the registration form for participation in the round.
The registered companies have complied with all the requirements set forth in section 4 of the notice and are able to participate in the round. Registration is mandatory and individual for each interested party, even for those who wish to submit an offer through a consortium.
Once the requirements established in the bidding document have been approved and approved by the Special Bidding Commission, the company may submit bids only for the blocks located in the sectors for which it has paid the participation fee and provided a bid guarantee.
The company qualification process (operator A, B, C or non-operator) will only be made to the winning companies on the day of the public bidding session, adopted after the 13th Round, held in 2015. The 14th Round Of Tenders will be held on September 27, in Rio de Janeiro.
The list of companies will be published tomorrow (24/08) in the Official Gazette of the Union and will also be available on the page Brazil Rounds, ANP.
