The government decided to hold the two pre-salt auctions scheduled for 2017, which will offer eight areas for oil exploration. Pre-salt auctions will be held on October 27 , shortly after the Brazilian edition of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), with the objective of concentrating the largest number of executives from abroad to the country.
With one of the auctions, the government expects to raise R $ 4.35 billion. The other has not yet had the values set, but the expectation is that the supply of oil areas will yield to the Treasury between R $ 7.5 billion and R $ 8 billion in 2017.
