In addition to celebrating the mark of 1 billion barrels of oil produced in the pre-salt, Petrobras achieved another important achievement in the region: the Rota 2 gas pipeline reached the volume of 2 billion cubic meters of gas exported.

The mark was obtained on November 15, nine months after the start of the pipeline’s operation. The route 2 gas pipeline is the largest in the country in terms of extension. It has the capacity to flow 13 million cubic meters per day from the Santos Basin to the Cabiúnas terminal in Macaé (RJ).

According to Petrobrás, the pipeline currently exports an average of 12 million cubic meters per day to Cabiúnas.
