Rio de Janeiro, August 4, 2016 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras announces that the Shareholders’ Extraordinary General Meeting held today approved the changes in the bylaws, aimed at improving the Company’s governance and management.

Among the changes is the creation of the new Strategy, Organization and Management System Officer. With this, the Executive Board will have eight members. It is important to clarify that there will be no change in the overall amount of the executive officers’ compensation approved at the General Meeting of April 28, 2016, as disclosed in a Notice of June 29, 2016.

Mr. Nelson Luiz Costa Silva is currently the name appointed to occupy the new position, as per the Notice of July 1, 2016. The election of the new Executive Officer is subject, among other conditions, to the approval of the Board of Directors, after the analysis of integrity’s and compliance’s criteria, as well as other requirements to elect a member of the Executive Board.
