The Damen shipyard in the Netherlands launched the OSRV CMM Celerity, owned by Compagnie Maritime Monégasque International (CMM). To work on behalf of Petrobras, the CMM Celerity is expected to start operating at the end of June.

The boat is part of a package of five OSRVs chartered by the oil company in 2014. The units will be equipped with high-speed thrusters, which could reduce their travel time by half, according to the Dutch shipyard.

Three of the vessels – the CMM Continuity, the CMM Rapidity and the CMM Velocity – have been scheduled for delivery in late December. For its part, the CMM Purity is due to go into operation in June this year.

EDITORA BRASIL ENERGIA asked CMM to comment about the situation of the vessels, but the company has not yet replied.
