SISTAC Extends Contract with Petrobras for Platform Maintenance in the Santos, Campos, and Espírito Santo Basins

March 31 (TN) SISTAC, a leader in the Brazilian market for inspection, maintenance, and repair of submerged structures for the oil and gas industry, announces that the company and Petrobras have signed a contract addendum extending the provision of services on platforms located in three basins—Santos, Campos, and Espírito Santo—for another year.

Initiated in April 2023, following a competitive bidding process, SISTAC’s contract with the oil company now runs until June 2027. The services will be performed using the SISTAC Vitória vessel, from the company’s own fleet.

The provision of specialized technical services by SISTAC to Petrobras includes “subsea intervention” with shallow diving and the use of ROVs (remotely operated vehicles). The operation involves the use of ROVs – Shallow Dive Support Vessels (SDSVs) – up to 250m depth, and the Workclass ROV.

“The extension of the contract with Petrobras, a player in the oil and gas sector that demands excellence in operations, is a recognition of SISTAC’s expertise. We always strive to exceed customer expectations, and our offshore vessels supporting subsea operations stand out for their cutting-edge technology, robustness, and reliability,” says SISTAC CEO Carlos Madaleno.

The CEO also highlights that SISTAC’s teams, including engineers, technicians, and professional divers, are highly specialized. “And all our diving systems are certified, ensuring quality and compliance with the most rigorous international safety and performance standards.”

With three decades of experience in the sector, SISTAC has bases in Macaé and Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, operating throughout the Brazilian coast. Last August, the company was recognized, for the second consecutive year, with the PEODIVE Award (Operational Excellence Program in Shallow Diving) from Petrobras. The award attests to its commitment to excellence, safety, and technical quality in diving operations, aligned with the highest international standards.
