March 11 – Brazilian engineering firm Oceânica Engenharia announced that it has signed long-term contracts with Petrobras worth approximately US$736 million.
According to a statement, these new contracts increase Oceânica’s order backlog to approximately R$12 billion.
The contracts have a duration of four years. Operations are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027 and end in 2031.
According to the company, these contracts guarantee the continuity of the partnership with Petrobras and reinforce Oceânica’s presence in the offshore subsea services segment in Brazil.
Within the contract package, the SDSV Oceanicasub IV, V, VII, and IX vessels had their partnerships renewed for subsea services. Among the planned activities are operations with ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) and subsea inspection, maintenance, and intervention services.
The company also highlighted the acquisition of the vessel Oceanicasub VI, which will reinforce the fleet dedicated to subsea services, in addition to the renewal of the contract for the vessel Oceanicasub VIII in the RSV segment.
In practice, the contracts strengthen the partnership between Oceânica Engenharia and Petrobras, as well as guarantee predictability for the operations of both companies until 2031.
