Petrobras postpones AHTS tender to the end of January

Dec. 31 – Petrobras has postponed the deadline for receiving bids in the tender for chartering AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessels to the end of January 2026.
This measure is part of a set of adjustments to the state-owned company’s contracting schedule for the offshore sector, aiming to allow the market and Brazilian Shipping Companies (EBNs) to adapt their technical and commercial proposals.

Key Points:
New Deadline: The proposals, which originally could have had earlier opening dates, are now scheduled for the end of January 2026.
Fleet Context: The company maintains its strategic plan to contract up to 52 new vessels by 2026, with estimated investments of R$ 29 billion, to support the increase in offshore production.

Other Delays: Recently, Petrobras also postponed other important processes, such as the submission of proposals for the Albacora platform (May 2026) and subsea systems in Sépia-2.
