DOF scores more work with Petrobras for vessel septet

Dec. 18 (offshore-energy.biz) Norwegian vessel owner DOF Group has landed seven contract extensions with Brazil’s state-owned energy giant Petrobras, which will add more than $160 million to the firm’s backlog.

While disclosing seven new contract extensions with Petrobras in Brazil, DOF explains that five of its Brazilian-flagged anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, all with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) on board.

The ships that had their current contracts extended until Q1 2027 are Skandi FluminenseSkandi Paraty, Skandi AngraSkandi Urca, and Skandi Iguaçu.

The new four-year contracts for the five vessels that were signed and announced in May-June 2025 with original planned commencement in Q1 2026 have had start-ups postponed until Q1 2027 with all other terms and conditions unchanged. As a result, the new contracts will run until Q1 2031.
