Petrobras to open bids for the Sergipe Deep Waters Project FPSOs on Oct. 15

Oct. 6 (Reuters) Petrobras is expected to open bids for the contracting of two FPSOs for the Sergipe Deep Waters Project (Seap) on October 15, Renata Baruzzi, Executive Director of Engineering, Technology, and Innovation, said.

“The bidders asked for more time. We gave them another 15 days,” the director told reporters.

Baruzzi also explained that the opening of bids for the contracting of a platform vessel for the Albacora field in the Campos Basin will take place by the end of the year, without providing further details.

The bidding processes for the Barracuda and Caratinga platforms, Marlin Sul and Marlin Leste, “have gone back to the drawing board to simplify the projects,” and the company is only expected to re-tender the bidding process in late 2026 or early 2027, she said.

Earlier, Petrobras announced that it had initiated a bidding process for the FPSO P-91 platform vessel, which will be the 12th unit to be installed in the Búzios field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt layer.

Búzios 12 will function as a hub for exporting gas produced in Búzios, which was Brazil’s largest oil-producing field in August, with 821,880 barrels per day, according to data published by the regulatory agency ANP this week.
