OneSubsea Delivers First Wet Christmas Tree for Búzios 11

Aug.28 (TN) OneSubsea delivered the first wet Christmas tree (WCTN) for Petrobras’ Búzios 11 project in a ceremony held at the multinational’s factory in Taubaté, São Paulo, fulfilling the contractual deadline established between the parties.

The contract with the Brazilian operator, signed in 2023, provides for the supply of 15 WCTNs and electro-hydraulic distribution units, as well as associated installation, commissioning, and maintenance services. OneSubsea has won all of Petrobras’ subsea tree contracts for the Búzios field since the Búzios-6 project.

“This first delivery is the result of considerable effort, resilience, and teamwork. Petrobras’ recognition, present with us at this important milestone, reinforces the value of our work and the partnership we have built,” emphasized Volmir Korzeniewski, Head of Subsea Production System (SPS) Brazil at OneSubsea.

The delivery of the first ANM represents a major milestone for the Búzios 11 project, with its installation scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 in the BUZ-11.P12 well, an oil-producing well that will enable the platform to reach its nominal production capacity of 225,000 bbl/d of oil. On average, each well will produce 40,000 bbl/d of oil. All trees will be manufactured at OneSubsea’s Taubaté facility, and services will be performed at the company’s Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, facility.
