Petrobras board reappoints Magda Chambriard CEO until April 2027

Petrobras’ Board of Directors (CA) has reappointed Magda Chambriard as the company’s CEO for a two-year term, from April 13, 2025 to April 13, 2027. She has been at the helm of the company since June of last year, when she replaced Jean Paul Prates.

The oil company’s CA also approved the reappointment of seven other members of Petrobras’ executive board: Clarice Coppetti, as executive director of Corporate Affairs; Claudio Schlosser, as director of Logistics, Commercialization and Oil Markets; Fernando Melgarejo, as director of Finance and Investor Relations; Mauricio Tolmasquim, as director of Energy Transition and Sustainability; Renata Baruzzi, as Director of Engineering, Technology and Innovation; Sylvia Anjos, as Director of Exploration and Production (E&P); and William França, as Director of Industrial Processes and Products.

The terms of office of all directors will last until April 13, 2027. However, as we reported, there is a possibility that Maurício Tolmasquim will leave Petrobrás before the end of his term. He was nominated for a seat on the Board of Directors of Eletrobrás and, if elected, he has committed to leaving the oil company’s board of directors.
