Camorim announces new contract with Petrobras to operate floating hotel vessel, in consortium with GranEnergia

Camorim announces the July 2024 contract with Petrobras, in partnership with GranEnergia, for the operation of the Sayan Polaris vessel.

The contract, worth approximately USD 60 million, will last for 2 years, where the Sayan Polaris vessel will act as an accommodation and personnel transfer unit for the Petrobras units that will be served during the contract. This scope was named walk-to-work (W2W) by Petrobras because the vessel is equipped with a gangway (walkway for transferring people) equipped with an active compensation system (AHC) capable of connecting to floating units under conditions established in the contract. During the first months of the contract, the vessel W2W will serve the P-54 platform, located in the Roncador field, in the Campos Basin. The Sayan Polaris vessel was built by Tersan Shipyard in Turkey and was delivered in 2018. With a VS 4530 design, the Multi Purpose Support Vessel (MPSV) has a DP-2 type dynamic positioning system, a total length of 89.10 meters and a beam of 22.0 meters, Wartsila engines and capacity to accommodate a total of 100 people. In addition to this contract, Camorim is in the process of mobilizing two new contracts in 2024 with Petrobras, for large vessels of the OSRV and PSV 4500 type, reaffirming its position in the offshore market.
