(PN) Petrobras began drilling a new pioneer well offshore in block ES-M-673, in the Espirito Santo Basin. Named 1-BRSA-1393-ESS, the well is in a water depth of 2,848 meters. The activity is being carried out with the Norbe IX drillship, owned by Foresea.
Block ES-M-673 was acquired by Petrobras in 2013, during the 11th Bidding Round, along with five other concessions on the Espirito Santo coast: ES-M-596, ES-M-598, ES-M-671, ES- M-743 and ES-M-669.
In February this year, the company had already started drilling well 1-BRSA-1391-ESS, in block ES-M-596, in a water depth of 2,100 meters.
