Science Based Targets initiative approves Fugro’s net-zero targets

(Offshore-energy.biz) The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved Fugro’s near- and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets.

Fugro’s net-zero target spans all three emission scopes, with the ultimate goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain by 2050.

“This validation by the Science Based Targets initiative underscores Fugro’s strong dedication to its purpose to create a safe and liveable world. We firmly believe that aligning our decarbonisation efforts with the 1.5°C global warming limit is essential for a sustainable future,” said Mark Heine, Fugro’s CEO.

“Fugro’s science-based targets help us to further action our roadmap to net-zero and underpin our decarbonisation efforts in Fugro’s own operations as well as in our supply chain.”
