Petrobras has a new supplier relationship platform

(TN) This December, Petrobras begins a gradual journey of transitioning the contracting platform with its suppliers. The migration from the Petronect Portal to the SAP Ariba solution, which has already taken place for invoice transactions, invoices and purchase orders for goods, will begin to encompass some of the company’s contracting processes. The objective of the change is to offer more agility and better relationships with suppliers, data integration and process simplification.

The idea is that part of the contracting processes through Value Bidding Exemption (DLV) will start to take place on the new platform from the end of 2023. The transition will be gradual, to reduce any impact on Petrobras’ transactions with its suppliers. In 2024, hiring processes will continue to take place on both platforms, until the processes are fully migrated to the new solution. Suppliers are receiving a booklet with the entire step-by-step process of the new contracting journey with Petrobras, which also keeps all information and services for interaction between suppliers and the company updated in its Supplier Channel.

The SAP Ariba tool had its first phase of adoption at Petrobras at the end of 2021, with the implementation of the guided purchasing and catalog purchasing module, focusing on internal employees. In December 2022, the first implementation for suppliers took place, with transactions for purchase orders for goods and invoices and invoices for goods and services. During this period, more than 1.2 million documents have been transacted on the new platform.

“The implementation of SAP Ariba is one of Petrobras’ strategies for expanding its relationship capacity with the supplier market. Gradually and based on active listening to suppliers, we will make the transition, generating opportunities to improve our channels within the market”, says Petrobras’ executive manager of Supplies, Marina Quinderé (photo).

“We are excited to adopt this innovative platform, which marks a new chapter in our digital transformation journey”, says the executive manager of Information Technology and Telecommunications at Petrobras, Carlos Augusto Burgos Barreto.
