(PN) OneSubsea, which is part of the SLB group (formerly Schlumberger), signed a new contract for the supply of subsea equipment for Petrobras. The new agreement encompasses the delivery of 15 wet Christmas trees and electro-hydraulic distribution units in phase 11 of the Buzios field, in the Santos Basin. The contract has an estimated value of between US$ 100 and US$ 200 million. In addition, OneSubsea will be responsible for the associated installation, commissioning and maintenance services.
The scope of services also includes the Drill Pipe Riser system, installation tools and specialized offshore service fronts that will be responsible for installing the equipment in the field. The equipment will be built at OneSubsea’s center of excellence for subsea equipment in Taubaté (SP), and delivery is expected to start in the second quarter of 2025. The integration of components and the installation of offshore equipment will be carried out by a team of specialists offshore of OneSubsea in Macaé (RJ).
OneSubsea had already won other similar contracts with Petrobrás – the company was the winner of the bids for phases of Búzios 6 to 9 and Búzios 10. The company also signed contracts for wet Christmas trees in two phases for Mero signed at the end of last year.
The general director of OneSubsea, Carlos Tadeu, believes that the market is experiencing a moment of sustainable growth. “Today, OneSubsea consolidates itself as the leader in the subsea market in Brazil and we will continue to prepare for other opportunities that already exist and will also reach the market”, he said. The global president of OneSubsea, Mads Hjelmeland, was recently in Brazil and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to business in the country, considering the region as the most promising in the next decade.
