Ibama green lights Marlim and Voador revitalization

(PetroleoHoje) Petrobras obtained the environmental license from Ibama for the project to revitalize the Marlim and Voador fields, in the Campos Basin. The authorization is valid for five years.

TechnipFMC will be responsible for supplying up to eight manifolds for the project, while NOV and Baker will supply 448 km of flexible lines – 280 km and 168 km, respectively.

Shearwater, meanwhile, is carrying out the seismic survey. Activity, which will resume in July 2021, will cover 1,412 km². The end of the campaign is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

The FPSOs Anita Garibaldi and Anna Nery are scheduled to start operating in 2023, while nine old platforms will be decommissioned, something that is expected to happen by 2025.

The production units, which are being built by Modec and Yinson, respectively, will be connected to 77 wells (14 new and 63 relocated from the units that will be deactivated).

It is estimated that production from the fields will rise from 45,000 boe/day to 153,000 boe/day with the start-up of the platforms.
