Petrobras contracts FPSO for deep water in Sergipe-Alagoas

(epbr) In June, Petrobras began contracting the FPSO for future deepwater fields in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. The company’s current business plan foresees investments in the order of R$ 2 billion in the development of reserves.

— The FPSO in Sergipe should be contracted in 2022, using the Built Operate and Transfer (BOT) model – after an initial stage of outsourced operation, the company assumes the operation of the platform with its own teams.

— “We have ten units under construction – three in Mero, four in Búzios, two in Marlim and another one in Atapu”, he highlighted.

— In addition, the FPSO Carioca is being installed in the Sépia field, with production scheduled for August. And the fourth production unit at Mero may be contracted later this year
